The MLB trade deadline will hit at 3 p.m. today and the Twins are expected to be included in plenty of rumors.

As for reality, one trade is in the books with the Twins sending left-handed relief pitcher Fernando Abad to the Boston Red Sox for a hard-throwing relief pitching prospect.

According to Aaron Gleeman, the Twins are getting Pat Light, who throws in the high 90s but has bad control. He has a 2.32 ERA with 36 strikeouts and 17 walks in 31 innings at Triple-A this season.

Light is 25 years old and ranked the 14th-best prospectby in Boston's farm system. He was a first-round pick in 2012 – taken just five spots after Jose Berrios went to the Twins.
