Twins manager Paul Molitor says he's going to employ a 4-man starting rotation until Ervin Santana returns from an injury in late April or early May.

The Twins are able to do it because they have enough off days in April to balance out the rotation without overworking any starters.

The four right-handers they're going with: Lance Lynn, Jake Odorizzi, Jose Berrios and Kyle Gibson. Molitor has not decided who will start Opening Day against the Baltimore Orioles on March 29.

The 4-man rotation is bad news for a couple of guys who were competing for a chance start, Phil Hughes and Adalberto Mejia.

Rhett Bollinger of TwinsBaseball.com believes Hughes has a chance to make the team as a long reliever while Mejia is likely destined for Triple-A Rochester.

Another long shot for long relief is former Twins starter, Tyler Duffey.
