Twins win! Twins win! Minnesota rallies for first win of the season

Los Angeles Angels 4

Minnesota Twins 5

The worst losing streak to start the regular season in Minnesota Twins history is over. Minnesota beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-4 Friday night at Target Field.

1. Park comes through in the clutch

Byung Ho Park recorded his biggest hit in a Twins uniform Friday night. His one-out double in the bottom of the eighth scored Trevor Plouffe to give the Twins the lead.

2. Twins battle back

The Twins' offense finally started showing a little life late in the game at Target Field. After Minnesota blew a 2-1 lead in the seventh and trailed 4-2, the Twins battled back in the bottom of the inning.

Eduardo Nunez, who has been red hot, doubled home Eddie Rosario. Joe Mauer followed with a single to score Nunez and the Twins tied it up at 4.

Nunez finished the night 3-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

3. May we ask what's wrong?

Trevor May has not looked sharp in the Twins bullpen. While he didn't give up any runs on Friday night, he did walk the bases loaded in a 32 pitch, 2/3 of an inning appearance in the eighth.

May has struggled in his setup role this season. He was tagged with the loss in Kansas City after an errant pickoff move and a wild pitch allowed the game-winning run to score.
