The Gophers capped an exciting weekend of hockey with another victory. They leave Duluth with two instant classics to their credit, two games with five goals, and most importantly, two wins over bitter-rival Duluth.

U of M men's hockey ranked No. 1

The Golden Gophers men's hockey team is rank No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey poll. Their weekend sweep over SCSU pushed them back to No. 1 for the second time this season. The UMD Bulldogs are still ranked No. 1 in the USCHO poll, with the Gophers coming in at No. 2.

UMD flips the switch for playoff hockey

As good as the UMD Bulldogs are in the regular season, they're usually even better in the playoffs. The defending national champs are known for doing the little things a little bit better than their opponents in the postseason. WCHA player of the year Jack Connolly says the little things will "win you games; they’ll win you championships.”
