UMD's 17-game winning streak comes to an end

Nebraska-Omaha was able to defeat the No. 1-ranked Bulldogs 3-1 Saturday night. That snapped the University of Minnesota Duluth's 17-game unbeaten streak; the longest winning streak in school history. The UMD men's hockey team is back home on Friday for the first time since November 19.

UMD's Connolly wins Hobey Baker Award

Minnesota-Duluth's Jack Connolly was named the Hobey Baker Memorial award winner on Friday. The Bulldogs' senior center is the fifth player in UMD history to win the award. The next closest school is Minnesota with four players taking the honor.

Minnesota-Duluth’s of a second straight national championship came to an end in Sunday’s 4-0 loss to Boston College. The Eagles are the No. 1 team in the country. Boston College moves on to the Frozen Four where they’ll play Minnesota.
