Against all odds, the United States men's curling team has advanced to the semifinals of the PyeongChang Olympics and they've guaranteed themselves a shot at a medal.

Let's rewind quickly.

Team Shuster, named after their captain, Minnesota native, John Shuster, was 2-4 in round robin play and facing certain elimination on Monday.

But they upset gold-medal favorite Canada, followed by another upset over Switzerland on Tuesday, thus putting them in a third straight must-win situation Wednesday against another world power, Great Britain.

No problem for Team USA.

They defeated Great Britain 10-4 to secure the 3-seed in the semifinals.

So not only did Team Shuster rally from the dead, they completely avoided having to play in Wednesday's tiebreaker round and advanced all the way to the medal round.

Up next is another meeting with Canada, which fans can watch live beginning at 5:05 a.m. Central Time on Thursday.

These guys are impossible not to love. I mean, they used a GIF of The Rock in a tweet saying they're ready for more and to bring it on.
