Glencoe-Silver Lake, the state's top-ranked team in Class 3A, came up just short in their showdown with rival Hutchinson. The Tigers' 20-16 win even featured family members on opposite sidelines.

In Richfield, Shakopee won a battle of undefeateds by taking a defensive contest with Holy Angels, 10-7.

Lakeville's civil war was won by North, as the Panther defense helped quarterback Trey Heid to a 30-6 win over Lakeville South.

The top-ranked team in Class 4A, Mankato West, romped over Rochester Mayo, 49-14.

4A's number two-ranked team, St. Thomas Academy, was just as dominant in their 48-7 win over Holy Family Catholic.

And Austin Smestad's 145 yards led Mounds View to a convincing 28-6 win over White Bear Lake.
