Video: Buxton cuts down Mike Trout with 99mph laser to home plate

Byron Buxton is continuing to impress in his return to the Twins roster this season. Buxton, who spent a brief stint in Triple A to get his swing right, has returned and has been a different player since coming back.

While he's been drawing rave reviews at the plate, Buxton made a big defensive play on Tuesday night when he cut down Mike Trout at the plate.

In this case the video is worth more than 1,000 words trying to describe it.

Buxton's laser to the plate was clocked at 99 mph. Buxton finished the night 1-for-4 at the plate, the hit was an RBI double. But despite his best efforts, Minnesota fell to the Angels 5-4 on Tuesday night.

The series wraps up on Wednesday night.
