Jimmy Butler had an incredible showing against the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night, scoring 39 (including 12 of Minnesota's 14 points in overtime) to get the Wolves a 128-125 home win over a division opponent.
If you didn't catch them, watch highlights of Butler's team-carrying performance here.
But there were also a couple of moments during the game where fans went crazy for the team's new superstar, and they're also worth watching.
First, with 16.9 seconds left in overtime and the Timberwolves up 2, Butler was at the line shooting free throws. That's when he got the "MVP" chant treatment from the sold-out Target Center crowd.
And then after the game, during an on-court interview with Fox Sports North's Marney Gellner, the fans gave the new Wolf a loud ovation.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," Butler said, then – joking with a big smile on his face – added: "I'm trying to get to the locker room, let me answer the question."
The Timberwolves are now 22-13, with the fourth best record in the Western Conference.
We'll leave you with this – one of Butler's clutch shots on the night and his uh, confident response to Denver immediately afterward.
