It was an event nearly eight years in the making, but Twins outfielder Torii Hunter homered in a Twins uniform for the first time since 2007 on Tuesday.
The three-run blast from the 39-year-old sparked the Twins to a 6-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
It's not that Hunter hasn't hit plenty of home runs over the last seven years – 139 of them to be exact, while he was playing for the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers.
He'd even hit a few against the Twins.
But we couldn't pass up the opportunity to show you something we hope to see a lot more of this season.
That blast broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning giving the Twins a 4-1 lead.
According to the Star Tribune, Twins manager Paul Molitor had some advice for Hunter.
"Remember how you did it," Molitor told Hunter after the homer.
Up until that point, Hunter had just two extra base hits in his first 25 at bats of the spring.
