Twins fans have been clamoring for Joe Mauer to show more of his personality ever since he began his MLB career 10 years ago. As it turns out, Mauer, along with manager Ron Gardenhire and relievers Glen Perkins and Brian Duensing created a quick motivational video for the Wild.

Does the video seem familiar? It's a spoof of the movie "Slap Shot."

"It was a good idea," Perkins tells the Pioneer Press. "Gardy came up with that. He nailed it. We watched the clip and he said, 'This is what I'm going to say and you guys say, Yeah, coach.' It was pretty funny. We had glasses on and the whole deal."
