On this day in 1961, Harmon Killebrew hit his first home run in a Minnesota Twins uniform at Met Stadium in Bloomington. He had hit 84 in a Washington Senators uniform before the team moved north.

It's hard to believe, but it's already been two years since the death of Twins great Harmon Killebrew. The Hall of Fame slugger passed away at the age of 74 on May 17, 2011.
