Twins want to host 2014 All-Star Game

Twins president Dave St. Peter announced Friday that the team wants to host the 2014 MLB All-Star Game at Target Field. Minnesota has hosted the All-Star Game twice -- at the Metrodome in 1985 and at Metropolitan Stadium in 1965.

The National League pounded the American League in the MLB All-Star Game last night, 8-0. Joe Mauer entered the game in the in the 8th inning at first base, and singled to center in his only at-bat.
