The Minnesota Vikings added another former Green Bay Packer to the roster on Wednesday. Minnesota claimed tight end Brandon Bostick off waivers after he was released by the Packers earlier this week.

Bostick is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end. He was originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry College in 2012.

Bostick appeared in 24 regular season games with the Packers over the last two seasons catching nine passes for 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns – including a 24-yard reception against the Vikings on Nov. 24, 2013.

But around Green Bay he will forever be remembered for his failure to recover an onside kick against Seattle in last season's NFC Championship game.

The miscue occurred late in the fourth quarter, with the Packers leading 19-14 over Seattle and needing only to recover the onside kick to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

According to the Pioneer Press, Bostick was supposed to block and allow Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson to recover the onside kick.

Bostick becomes the fifth tight end on the Vikings roster, joining Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, Chase Ford and Ryan Otten.
