Vikings 'more than willing' to listen to offers for No. 3 pick

The Vikings have the third overall pick in the NFL draft this year, but that doesn’t mean they’ll keep it. Vikings GM Rick Spielman says he’ll be very busy on draft day, telling the NFL Network that if someone wants to “come up and get our pick, we’re going to be more than willing to listen.”

There is no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL Draft, but picking third in the first round usually translates into a reliable starter, maybe even a Hall of Fame player. Previous No. 3 picks that went right: Larry Fitzgerald, Joe Thomas, Andre Johnson and Barry Sanders. But then again, there are also a few duds like Joey Harrington and Akili Smith.

Vikings need to find a star with pick No. 3

The Minnesota Vikings will have a lot of options when they go on the clock with the third pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. They might be able to go offensive line and take USC's Matt Kalil. Or they might be able to select Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon. Maybe it will be LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne? Whatever they do, there will be plenty of talent available.
