The Minnesota Vikings have placed cornerback Jabari Price on season-ending injured reserve.
The move was announced by the team Tuesday, and linebacker Brandon Watts was promoted from the practice squad to fill the roster spot.
According to the Pioneer Press, Price has had some shoulder problems and hadn't appeared in any of their games this season.
Price was suspended for the first two games of the year after pleading guilty to careless driving following his arrest on suspicion of DWI on Dec. 29, 2014 – shortly after the Vikings' 2014 season concluded.
Additionally, he also was placed on 30 days of electronic home monitoring, paid a $300 fine and had to enroll in substance-abuse classes.
Price played in 14 games and made 10 tackles last season as a rookie.
Watts was Minnesota's seventh-round pick in 2014. He was on the Vikings active roster all of last season and appeared in two games.
The Pioneer Press notes that Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has spoken highly of Watts recently.
