Vikings vs. Cardinals: Week 5 preview

Minnesota. Week 5. The Vikings are still looking for their first win of the 2011 NFL season. Nope, it's not a Fringe-like alternate reality. It's the October surprise purple fans didn't expect this year. So what'll be different this Sunday when Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals come to town?

Well, according to Vikings coach Leslie Frazier: Not much. Barring injuries the starting 22 should be the same, including starting quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Even so, the Bleacher Report predicts this will be the Sunday the Vikingsfinally win.

If not, the Daily Norseman wondered out loud if it's time to openly cheer for losses just so the Vikings landAndrew Luck.

Win or lose, more and more famous voices in that crowd say the Vikes should switch to Christian Ponder as the starting quarterback. Those voices now include Joe Theismann and Fran Tarkenton.

If Ponder isn't brought in soon, the fake news website The Onion piles on -- writing it's becausethe Vikings hate McNabb.

For more comedy, Sid Hartman says Bud Grant told him four plays could have resulted in a 4-0 record. (Sorry, Bud.)

How about you? Time for Ponder? Already looking towards 2012? Pining for Luck? Let us know...
