If everything goes as planned, the Vikings could be 2-0, atop the NFC North Monday morning.

How? It's not that big of a stretch. Three things have to happen: Grean Bay already beat Chicago on Thursday, San Francisco has to beat Detroit Sunday and Minnesota needs to defeat Indianapolis on the road.

So what are the experts saying about the Vikes-Colts matchup? For starters, here's Mike Wobschall's take at Vikings.com. In his "10 Vikings-Colts storylines"column, we like No. 8 the best: "Turn Percy Loose".

At the Bleacher Report, AFC South writer Nate Dunlevy says if the Colts can't beat the Vikings at home, he wonders who Indianapolis can beat the rest of the year. That doesn't sound like a compliment to the Purple.

Among the major dailies, we love this weekly feature in the Pioneer Press, where writer Kevin Cusick makes his picks against the Las Vegas point spreads, "as God intended."

Francis Albert Tarkenton, in his Pioneer Press video blog says the Vikings won't leave Indy without a win:

Speaking of vintage Vikes, check out this intro from Monday Night Football, when Minnesota entertained the Baltimore Colts during the 1971 regular season at Met Stadium:
