Adrian Peterson didn't take the team flight to Atlanta, and after a week of either posturing or pride, hinting Peterson might start- team officials have ruled out the running back for Sunday.

Brian Hall of Fox Sports North says the Vikings have embraced the reality of their season, adding that Atlanta's well-rounded offense will be one of the bigger challenges for Minnesota's defense.

Falcon's rookie wideout Julio Jones is back in the lineup after three weeks and will give quarterback Matt Ryan another strong target downfield.

The game kicks off Sunday at noon from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
