It's that time of year again. The Fair is over. The Twins are in last place. The Gophers might lose to another FCS school. Where or where are the Vikings to temporarily relieve us of our sports misery?

At home, Sunday. Against Jacksonville. The purple are 4-point favorites, which might be a rarity following that 3-13 season.

So, what should we really expect? NFL.com, in this video clip, says it'll basically be a battle of young quarterbacks.

At CBS Sports, prognosticator Pat Kirwin says the Vikings should use extreme caution with Adrian Peterson, and sees the Jaguars escaping with a win:
