Former Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe signed with the New England Patriots on Tuesday. He spent the past five season in Minnesota, catching 36 passes for over 400 yards last year. Shiancoe's deal is for one-year worth $1.2-million. Only $400-thousand of the deal is guaranteed, with $800-thousand in incentives.

Meanwhile, former Vikings middle linebacker E.J. Henderson is still searching for a new team. He tells CBS that he's "ready to play" and "waiting for the call." Henderson still lives in Minnesota, and "would love to retire here."

NFL Network's Steve Wyche reports that tight end Visanthe Shiancoe is expected to make a free agent visit to Seattle within a few days. If Shiancoe signs with the Seahawks, he'll be reunited with former Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who helped Shiancoe to a career year in 2009.

Henderson listed as questionable against Chiefs

Vikings' linebacker E.J. Henderson is now listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Kansas City. Henderson has a sore left knee which kept him out of practice earlier this week. Coach Leslie Frazier expects Henderson will play, but exactly how many snaps he'll see is uncertain.
