After partially tearing her ACL last week in a training run crash, Lindsey Vonn officially withdrew from skiing's World Cup stop at Beaver Creek this weekend.
The move was an expected one, but the unexpected nugget came from U.S. women's skiing head coach Alex Hoedlmoser, who didn't write off a return by Vonn at next weekend's World Cup competition at Lake Louise.
"That's up to her," Hoedlmoser said according to the Star Tribune.
When Vonn partially tore the ACL, she was recovering from a complete tear of her ACL and broken leg suffered at the super-G World Championships in Austria Feb. 5.
Her status for the Sochi Olympics this coming February is still considered questionable.
