Vonn to race this weekend for first time in 10 months

Minnesota native and Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn said she will race this weekend after her training run yesterday at Lake Louise went smoothly.

Vonn tore her ACL and broke her leg 10 months ago at the World Championships and was making a comeback attempt before partially tearing the ACL in her other leg during a training run just over two weeks ago.

Vonn needs surgery, but will hold off until after February's Olympics in Sochi, where she will look to defend her gold in the downhill.

The venue this weekend, dubbed "Lake Lindsey," is home to 14 of Vonn's 59 World Cup wins.
