The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School hockey team was a special guest at the Minnesota Wild game Sunday night.
Already in Minnesota for the USA Hockey National Tournament, the Stoneman Douglas boys had the spotlight on them for the ceremonial "Let's Play Hockey" call before the start of the game.
The high school from Parkland, Florida, has been on an inspiring journey since 14 students and 3 faculty from the school were killed in a mass shooting on Feb. 14.
The boys' hockey team qualified for nationals by winning the state tournament in Florida. In Minnesota, they lost to a team from Colorado 7-1 on Thursday and Edina 13-3 Friday before finishing with a 3-2 overtime win over a team from Indiana on Saturday.
The gold medal-winning U.S. women's hockey team was also at Sunday's Wild game for the ceremonial puck drop.
