Watch: Toronto infielder Ryan Goins take the mound in the 18th inning

So why do people love baseball games that go deep into extra innings? Because stuff like this happens. Toronto second baseman Ryan Goins made his pitching debut in the 18th inning of Friday's 1-1 game between Cleveland and Toronto.

Check out the video to see what his first warm up pitch looked like.

Amazingly though, the Blue Jays infielder got through the inning, without giving up the go-ahead run. He was able to get a big 6-4-3 double play to get out of a bases-loaded jam.

Cleveland did pull out their 14th straight win. In the 19th, Carlos Martinez homered off another Blue Jays infielder – Darwin Barney – to give them a 2-1 lead, which they held onto for the win.
