After winning Tuesday's All-Star Game in San Diego, the American League has secured home field advantage in the World Series for a fourth straight season.
The 4-2 final score was also the fourth consecutive All-Star Game in which the National League was held to two runs or fewer, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Home field can be a big deal but it's only resulted in the American League winning the World Series in two of the last four years. Kansas City won with home field advantage last season and Boston did the same in 2013. San Francisco won without home field advantage in 2012 and 2014.
Twins infielder Eduardo Nunez didn't get an at-bat in Tuesday's game but he did help turn the game-ending double play while playing second base.
