Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback and former North Dakota State standout Carson Wentz has led the Eagles to a perfect 2-0 record so far this season.
The North Dakota native lives and breathes football.
According to a story published by CSN Philly on Thursday, Wentz was once caught looking at game film under the dinner table while out with his long-term girlfriend, Melissa Unrich, on a date.
Wentz and Unrich have been dating since their days at Century High School in Bismarck.
When speaking of Wentz’s work ethic at the NFL Combine last March — Tim Polasek the offensive coordinator at North Dakota State said, “I told the NFL scouts, if you ask Wentz to work 60 hours, he’s going to work 80 hours.”
Polasek went on to say, “In that off time, he’s going to be with his two companions — his dog and he’s got a significant other.”
Wentz was the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft last May and became the highest drafted quarterback from an FCS school. (North Dakota State plays in the FCS as opposed to the larger FBS schools that are also Division I.)
