Minnesota Duluth drops from No. 1 to out of the top ten

Minnesota Duluth dropped from first place to 11th in the Division II football coaches poll. The Bulldogs lost 7-0 over the weekend to Nebraska’s Wayne State. UMD topped the list in November of last year and stayed there with a 17-game winning streak--which ended Saturday.

UMD still No. 1 in Division II Rankings

Minnesota-Duluth still holds the nations top ranking in the latest Division II football coaches poll. The Bulldogs have won 17 games in a row overall and 31 straight in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Wrestling Gophers upset No. 1 Cowboys

The U of M wrestling team upset No. 1 Oklahoma State 18-13 to win the NWCA national duals Sunday. The No. 3 Golden Gophers defeated Iowa with an exciting win in the semifinals to earn their spot in the final. The Big Ten championships are March 3 and 4.

Huskies upset No. 1 Gophers, 4-3

It’s usually a battle when the Gophers and St. Cloud State meet on the ice. Last night, it was a blowout as the Huskies upset Minnesota 4-3 in St. Cloud. The Gophers will go for the split back at Mariucci Arena Saturday night. The puck drops at seven.
