Wisconsin scored three goals in the first period en route to a 7-2 victory over Minnesota State-Mankato in the WCHA Final Five quarterfinals at Xcel Energy Center.
Tyler Barnes scored twice and picked up an assist as the Badgers cruised into a semifinal clash with St. Cloud State on Friday. Jefferson Dahl also scored twice for the Badgers, with both goals coming while Wisconsin was short-handed.
Colorado College continued its unpredictable run in the tournament with a 4-3 overtime win over North Dakota. Jared Hanson scored the winning goal at 4:52 of OT.
The Tigers will play the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night.
Minnesota head coach Don Lucia says there's "no question" he'll miss the Final Five after this tournament ends Saturday.
Next year, the Gophers and Badgers head to the new Big 10 hockey conference.
"People only remember winners," according to Gophers leading scorer Erik Haula.
That's a very simple reason to why he wants to end the Final Five on top.
