White Sox, Dunn, bomb Twins, 12-5

Adam Dunn broke out of his slump and cracked a three-run homer to help the White Sox club the Twins at Target Field. Minnesota lost two of three in the series, falling 9.5 games behind Chicago in the AL Central race.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Adam Dunn hit an opposite-field three-run homer, his 24th of the year, to lead the Chicago White Sox over the Twins, 12-5, Wednesday at Target Field. On the afternoon, the Twins gave up a season-high 21 hits.

Twins starter Nick Blackburn went five innings, giving up six runs to pick up the loss. Blackburn, now 4-5 on the year, also gave up a solo homer to Alex Rios.

Chicago lefthander Chris Sale -- a candidate to start the All-Star game for the American League -- improved to 9-2 on the year, pitching seven innings.

Red Sox rally to beat Twins, 6-5

Cody Ross tied the game with a two-run homer in the seventh inning and hit the game-winning solo homer in the top of the ninth off of Matt Capps to lead the Red Sox over the Twins, 6-5 Monday night. Danny Valencia hit a two-run homer for the Twins, his first of the season.
