Twins pick White Sox pitcher in Rule 5 draft

The Minnesota Twins have selected righthander Terry Doyle from the White Sox organization in the Rule 5 draft. Doyle, 26, had a 3.07 ERA splitting time between Class A and Class AA ball last year. The Rule 5 draft aims to prevent teams from stockpiling too many young players on their minor league affiliate teams when other teams would be willing to have them play in the majors.
