Wiggins dunks on Love, but Cavaliers crush Wolves

Andrew Wiggins scored 27 points in his first game against the team that drafted him first overall, but it was Kevin Love and the Cavaliers leaving the arena in Cleveland with a win on Tuesday night.

Final score: Cavs 125, Wolves 104

Wiggins finished 9-of-17 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 on 3-pointers en route to his 27 points. Love, playing his first game against his former team, scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.

LeBron James scored 24 and Kyrie Irving finished with a game-high 29 points, but Wiggins had the highlight of the game. According to Sports Illustrated, Wiggins blazed by Shawn Marion and Love for an impressive one-handed slam.

Love's highlight was an injury. According to ESPN, he left the game in the third quarter with a thumb injury. He was fouled by Thaddeus Young, but after a quick tape job in the locker room Love returned to the game.

Love will get his first chance to play back in Minnesota when the Cavaliers come to Target Center on Jan. 31. Minnesota (5-22) is off until Friday when they travel to Denver to play the Nuggets.
