Minnesota Wild forward Dany Heatley's season is over, according to the Star Tribune.

Heatley underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder Tuesday -- an operation that was expected to keep him out four or five weeks, but doctors informed the Wild that he would likely miss the remainder of the season, including the playoffs.

Heatley, who is third on the team with 11 goals, was hurt when Marc Eduouardo-Vlasic of the San Jose Sharks slashed him at the end of a game last week.
