Jared Spurgeon left tonight's game with an injury after being drilled by Colorado's Cody McLeod. McLeod hit Spurgeon from behind, and sent the Wild's young defenseman head first into the boards. It's unclear what injury forced Spurgeon out of the game, but he seemed to be favoring his left leg.

Head coach Mike Yeo says his young defenseman is day-to-day after being checked head-first into the boards by Colorado's Cody McLeod. Yeo says he is "surprised and very disappointed" that McLeod wasn't suspended.
