The Xcel Energy Center will be jam-packed Wednesday night when the Wild hosts an intra-squad scrimmage. Michael Russo writes that it will be a "real scrimmage" with real referees, 20-minute periods and 18-minute intermissions.

Defenseman Jared Spurgeon will play for both teams during the scrimmage, but only when either team is on a power play.

FOX Sports North's Brian Hall put together a nice story on the Wild's ultra-impressive group of prospects, featuring Mikael Granlund, Jonas Brodin, Matt Dumba and more.

The Wild announced on Tuesday that they signed Nick Palmieri to a one year, two way deal. Palmieri will likely remain in the minors.
