Wild send down Coyle; look to find scoring spark against Avs

Author:

The Minnesota Wild are back in action tonight at home against the Colorado Avalanche.

Minnesota hopes to find any type of offense, as the team hasn’t scored more than one goal in regulation in six games.

It's also a team constantly in flux with its roster. After just five games in the lineup, forward Charlie Coyle was sent back to Houston, according to Star Tribune writer Michael Russo:

"We got a find a way to score," Zach Parise told the Associated Press. "That's too many games of just getting one. We've got to generate offense, and it's not good enough right now."

The Wild (6-6-1) have lost four of their last six games, but GM Chuck Fletcher tells Fox Sports North that the growing pains were expected and their "best days" are ahead of them.

Colorado (4-6-1) looks like an entirely beatable team, as it comes into Xcel Energy Center riding a three game winless streak at 0-2-1.
