The Phoenix Coyotes will visit the Xcel Energy Center Saturday night looking to clinch their first-ever division title.

Wild wins in shootout over Coyotes

The Minnesota Wild beat the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2 Thursday night. Kyle Brodziak and Stephen Kampfer scored 54 seconds apart to give the Wild a 2-0 lead in the second period, but the Coyotes scored two goals in a little over a minute to tie the game in the third. Dany Heatley scored the shootout winner in the fifth round.

Nashville nips Wild, 2-1 in shootout

The Minnesota Wild went to its fourth straight overtime game Thursday night, but lost in a shootout, 2-1 in Nashville. Dany Heatley scored his team-leading 23rd goal for the Wild. Just two games remain, the Wild hosts Chicago Thursday and Phoenix on Saturday.

The Minnesota Wild's regular season schedule for 2012-13 was released today. Among the highlights: A long seven-game homestand in mid-December and a meeting with the Stanley Cup champion L.A. Kings at XCel Energy Center on Jan. 22.
