Wild lose to Ducks, 2-1

The Minnesota Wild dominated for most of the game but ended up losing at home to the Ducks, 2-1 Tuesday night.

The loss ends the Wild's two-day run as Northwest Division leaders. It also snapped their six-game home points streak.

Minnesota took a 1-0 lead when Devin Setoguchi ripped home a power play goal at the 18 minute mark of the first period. The lead would hold until Anaheim's Patrick Maroon scored at the 3:06 mark of the third, tying the game, 1-1.

The game would stay tied until Luca Sbica snapped a shot by Niklas Backstrom for the eventual game-winner.

Two power play misses were a big reason the Wild didn't skate away with a win. They failed to convert on a 5-on-3 advantage and a five minute power play after Corey Perry leveled Jason Zucker with a cheap shot to the head. An update on Zucker's condition was not available after the game.

The Wild is now 9-3-1 at the Xcel Energy Center.
