Wild sign top pick Dumba to entry-level deal

The Wild have locked up their first round draft choice. Matt Dumba today agreed to a three-year entry level deal. He was picked 7th overall in the NHL draft.

Wild to pick seventh in NHL Draft

The Minnesota Wild will be picking seventh in June's NHL Draft. The Wild had a 4.7 percent chance of moving up in Monday night's draft lottery, but didn't. Notable NHL players selected seventh overall include Nashville defenseman Ryan Suter in 2003 and former Golden Gopher Kyle Okoposo, who was drafted by the Islanders in 2006.

The Minnesota Wild signed Jason Zucker to an entry level contract on Tuesday. Zucker was a second-round draft pick in 2010. He led the University of Denver in scoring this season. Zucker will join the Wild later this week and play with the team for the final 12 days of the season.

Harding signs new 3-year deal with Wild

Backup goalie Josh Harding has signed a new three-year contract with the Wild. The Star Tribune says it’s worth $5.75 million dollars overall. Harding, who could have tested the free-agent market next month, said he wasn’t interested in signing with Minnesota unless it was a multi-year contract.
