Wild star Zach Parise has a broken sternum, out indefinitely

It's unclear when Parise suffered the injury during Game 3.
Publish date:

Out of nowhere, the Minnesota Wild announced this afternoon that Zach Parise will not play in tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets and is out indefinitely with a fractured sternum.

The team says Parise is week-to-week, with no specific timeline for his return, although Michael Russo is reporting that Parise will miss 6-8 weeks.

It's awful news considering Parise has scored in all three games of the series and has been their best goal scorer for the better part of the last four weeks.
