The hottest line in the NHL put on a show Tuesday night as the Wild blasted the Blues 8-3 at the Xcel Energy Center.
The line: Jason Zucker, Mikael Granlund, Eric Staal.
What they did: Racked up a combined six goals and eight assists for a 14-point night, giving them 26 points in there last three games together.
Both Staal and Zucker had five points in the game, making them the third and fourth different players in Wild history with at least five points in a game.
Staal finished with a hat trick to boost his season total to 33 goals – tied for third most in the NHL.
It's also the most goals the 33-year-old center has had since he was 26 years old during the 2010-11 season, when he finished with 33 goals. With 20 games to go, he's got a chance to reach 40 goals for the third time in his 15-year career.
Minnesota has now won five straight games and outscored its opponents 24-11 in that span.
