Wild players and top prospects playing in World Championship in Finland
The 2012 IIHF World Championship is being played in Finland and Sweden starting Friday, and members of the Minnesota Wild are participating. The Wild received some decent news and bad news on Tuesday. Last week, top prospects Mikael Granlund and Jonas Brodin were injured in the same game. Granlund will miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained ankle. Brodin will be out at least 8 weeks with a broken clavicle.

Don't overreact just yet, but all those moves before the trade deadline didn't help the Wild on Tuesday night as they were embarrassed at home by the Kings. The 4-0 shutout was a bit of a surprise, considering Los Angeles is the only team in the NHL with fewer goals scored than the Wild.
