After roasting his way to more than 20 points last month, the NHL recognized Minnesota Wild center Eric Staal as the league's player in February

It's the sixth time in franchise history that a Wild player has been among the three stars of the month, and just the second time a Wild player received the first star.

Devan Dubnyk is a 4-time star of the month winner, including the first star in February of 2015. The only other player in Wild history to win a star of the month is goalie Josh Harding.

Staal racked up 13 goals and 8 assists in February and tied a career-high with five points, including his 14th career hat trick, in Minnesota's record-setting win over St. Louis on Tuesday.
