Williams, Mbakwe reunite with 76ers in summer league

The Pioneer Press reports that ex-Gophers Trevor Mbakwe and Rodney Williams will be playing together again when they suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers in the Orlando NBA Summer League.

Both Williams and Mbakwe had to sit through the entire NBA Draft last week without hearing their names called.

"It was tough because a lot of guys we knew got drafted," Mbakwe said. "But that's how it works sometimes. We've got to make the best of the situation. We still have a chance to live out our dream this year. If not, then we'll come back and try again the next."

The Orlando Summer League runs July 7-12.
