Without Moore, Lynx no match for Storm

Everything was decided when the Minnesota Lynx went into Seattle for the regular season finale, and it looked that way as the Lynx were overwhelmed by the Storm 78-64 to close the regular season.

Lynx star Maya Moore didn't play in the game.

The Lynx knew coming into the game they would be the top seed in the Western Conference and will open up the playoffs next week with a best-of-three game series against Los Angeles.

The Lynx shot just 38.3 percent, and really never threatened to beat the Storm. Seattle took control of the game in the second quarter by outscoring Minnesota 23-14 in the second frame.

Kaleena-Mosqueda Lewis led the way for the Storm with 16 points, Jewell Lloyd added 14 for Seattle.

Sylvia Fowles led the Lynx with 21 points and 14 boards. Renee Montgomery finished with 13 points.

The Lynx (22-12) start the playoffs next Friday night against the Sparks.
