Timberwolves looking to continue momentum

Minnesota has lost 16 straight against the San Antonio Spurs. However, the Timberwolves (1-3) are coming off their first win of the season with a 99-82 victory over the Mavericks on Sunday. Kevin Love finished with 25 points and rookie Ricky Rubio scored a season-high 14 points against Dallas. The Timberwolves are looking to keep the momentum going when they host the Spurs at the Target Center Monday night.

The Timberwolves outscored the Mavericks by 17 points in the second half en route to a 105-90 win in Dallas Wednesday night. Kevin Love continued his dominance with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Ricky Rubio added a double-double of his own with 17 points and 12 assists.

Spurs hammer Wolves, 116-100

The Spurs blasted the Timberwolves, 116-100 in San Antonio Wednesday night. Six Spurs scored in double-figures, including a Fountain of Youth-like performance by Tim Duncan. The 35 year old scored 21 points to go along with 15 rebounds. The Wolves wrap up their seven game road trip Friday against Oklahoma City.

The Timberwolves can end another streak in Texas tonight. They've lost 14 straight games to the Spurs in San Antonio. Although Minnesota has won the first two meetings this year at Target Center, the Spurs have Manu Ginobili back in the lineup and the Wolves are without Ricky Rubio.
