This probably isn't going to surprise a lot of Timberwolves fans, but early reports indicate that Wolves center Nikola Pekovic isn't ready to get back on the floor yet as the 2016-17 season draws near.

Right foot problems have hampered the big man over the last couple of seasons, and there are signs that they haven't gone away.

ESPN 1500's Darren Wolfson reports that Pekovic is back in the Twin Cities and has been working out in front of Wolves personnel, but that he's still not ready physically for the season.

Pekovic played in just 12 games last season, before the team shut him down, he's only played in 43 games over the last two seasons combined.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, minutes may be tough to come by even once Pek is healthy.

With Karl-Anthony Towns, Gorgui Dieng, Kevin Garnett and newcomers Cole Aldrich and Jordan Hill, Pekovic could find himself buried in the rotation.

Especially if he's not moving well enough to play passable defense for Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau.
