Wolves rebound and blast the Celtics

Rebounding from a tough loss at Denver on the second night of back-to-back games the Minnesota Timberwolves returned to Target Center to beat the Boston Celtics 106-88.

Minnesota dominated inside, outscoring the Celtics 52-28 in the paint.

Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic each had double-doubles in the Wolves win. Love scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Pekovic put up 20 points he also grabbed 12 boards. Eight of those 12 boards were offensive rebounds.

Kevin Martin wasn't hitting from the outside tonight, but he still found a way to contribute he also scored 20 points.

Bench play was a big key for the Timberwolves on Saturday. Friday night the team used just eight players in a loss to Denver, but Coach Adelman went deep into the bench on Saturday and they responded as they scored 36 points off the bench.

J.J. Barea scored 13 points off the bench and Dante Cunningham had 12 and Robbie Hummel scored eight.
