Shaun Hill will line up as Vikings quarterback for Sunday's noon season opener against the Tennessee Titans.
There had been much debate over who would get the start following Sam Bradford's arrival in Minnesota last weekend, when the Vikings traded for him in the wake of Teddy Bridgewater's season-ending injury.
Hill is more familiar with the Vikings playbook and was tipped by many to get the first week's start, with Bradford now being considered to start in the crunch home opener against the Packers next Sunday.
It's also been confirmed that Xavier Rhodes won't be playing today, after he was downgraded Sunday morning to "questionable" with a knee injury. Trae Waynes and Terence Newman will start at CB.
Here's the full list of Vikings inactives.
The 26-year-old Rhodes had been named on the Vikings' injury list on Friday having had a hamstring issue that led to only limited practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
But he took part full practice on Friday and was expected to be ready to start in Nashville, before Sunday's setback.
