Yeo 'encouraged' with Bouchard's progress

Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo says he's encouraged with Pierre-Marc Bouchard's progress, and isn't concerned that the forward will miss Saturday's season opener against Colorado.

Yeo says Bouchard took "real contact" in Monday's practice, calling it a "big step" in helping his confidence.

Bouchard has been sidelined more than a year because of a concussion, an odyssey which began with this hit from Zach Bogosian in December of 2011:

The Star Tribune says Bouchard's final test could come in Wednesday's night's scrimmage at the XCel Energy Center.
